Fang Qingyun 方青云

About

I am Fang Qingyun (方青云), Ph.D., currently a Research Assistant at Ningbo University. I received my Ph.D. from Tsinghua University. My research focuses on remote sensing object detection, multispectral and cross-modality information fusion, lightweight perception models, and onboard intelligent processing for imaging satellites.

My recent work studies how to make visual detection systems more reliable and deployable under remote sensing conditions, especially when combining heterogeneous sensing modalities or running perception models with limited onboard resources.

Research Interests

Remote sensing object detection: robust detection methods for complex aerial and satellite imagery.
Multispectral and cross-modality fusion: feature-level and decision-level fusion for visible, infrared, and multispectral sensing.
Lightweight onboard intelligence: model compression, feature distillation, and efficient perception for constrained platforms.
Vision-language foundation models: VLA-style perception and reasoning, object detection, and multispectral object detection.
